Pasta Pie

Pasta Pie sharingthyme.com

This dish is one of my husbands favorite meals. I have been making it since we were newlyweds, over 8 years now!  It is still a family favorite…and truly a delicious comfort food filled with pasta, sausage, veggies and cheese. It is perfect for dinner, and makes great leftovers as it really only seems to get better as the flavors marinate in the fridge. It holds up and slices beautifully the next day out of the cool fridge…making it perfect to take a slice to go. It is a dish with so many core elements in the actual pie that

B&M Granola

B&M Granola sharingthyme.com

One of my favorite granolas is from a bread shop called Big Sky Breads. I would find myself craving it, buying it in bulk, storing it in the freezer….always wanting more. It is packed with tons of goodness, all kinds of seeds, nuts and flavors. When you buy it from them it comes in bags of big broken bar like pieces. Like they just cracked it to pieces off the sheet pan in front of you. I realized that I wanted, more so needed,  to come up with my own version of granola. One that is filled with all the

Gingerbread Marshmallows

Gingerbread Marshmallows sharingthyme.com

I love homemade marshmallows. There is just something about making something from scratch that you have been eating your whole life from the store. It is like your brain just clicks, and you all of a sudden realize how much better something is when it is homemade…not everything fits this bill, but marshmallows are one. You need to try it at least once, or have your neighbor make them and promise to share with you. You will instantly realize what you have been missing out on, and be changed forever. The first time I made a batch of marshmallows I

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds sharingthyme.com

These pumpkin seeds are the perfect balance between spicy and sweet. They are a breeze to make and this is definitely a good recipe to have around when you start carving up your pumpkins in the fall! 1. Cut pumpkin in half, just around the stem. 2. Remove seeds with large spoon and separate flesh from seeds. I squeeze my hand slowly around the seeds and most of them will pop off of the stringy flesh. Rinse with cold water in a colander and then spread out to try on a pan or parchment in an even layer. The two pumpkins should

Ginger Molasses Pumpkin Butter

Ginger Molasses Pumpkin Butter sharingthyme.com

When I was fresh out of college and early married I worked at Williams Sonoma teaching cooking demonstrations and wrapping packages during those busy holiday seasons. One of the fall staples was, and still is, the pumpkin butter. Oh, pumpkin butter…can you be any more delicious? We used to do all sorts of demos made with yellow cake mix and pumpkin butter which were so simple, yet so delicious. Its a wonder why I haven’t made those recipes since! Probably, because pumpkin butter is best served on a spoon.  So, like routine, every year I would stock up so I could

Honey Lime Butter

Honey Lime Butter sharingthyme.com

This compound butter is one of my favorites to use on several things. It is sweet, salty, and has a little pop of heat. I use it on vegetables, chicken, steak, bread, burgers…it really is endless what you can put this on. It adds such depth of flavor to dishes and is so fragrant when melting. It is pretty hard to resist. It is a family favorite at my house and cinch to make. Enjoy! 1. Zest one lime, making sure not to go too deep. You only want the green skin zested, the white pith is bitter. 2. In
